TITLE: Youth Education & Prevention Services (YEPS) Program Director
POSITION STATUS: Full Time/Exempt
REPORTS TO: Executive Program Director – Non-Residential Services
LOCATION: YEPS/Metrocrest Office
DEFINITION: Responsible for the development, planning, and coordination of services of the YEPS programs, including Bullyproof, START, and sexual assault prevention.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Train, supervise, and provide clinical guidance to program staff, volunteers, and interns.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of YEPS prevention and intervention services.
• Participate in funding development and marketing of the YEPS program.
• Responsible for development and management of program budget.
• Facilitate weekly staff meetings.
• Prepare and submit program statistics, including program evaluation and Quality Assurance information in coordination with the Program Evaluator, in a timely and accurate manner.
• Attend and participate in required staff and management meetings, trainings, and supervisory sessions.
• Serve as primary prevention coordinator for the agency.
• Build and maintain relations with schools, community professional, and social service agencies and serve on appropriate community committees.
• Provide external training and clinical consultation to community professionals.
• Participate in agency program functions as requested.
• Work as an effective member of a team with other Family Place staff and programs.
• Maintain current license and professional knowledge of teen dating violence, sexual violence, youth development, primary prevention, etc.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters’ degree in social work, counseling, education, or related field required. Licensure required (e.g. LPC, LCSW, etc.). 3 years experience with children/adolescents and/or family violence required. 1 year management or supervisory experience required. Strong leadership, presentation, and organizational skills required. Texas driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation required. Schedule requires occasional evening and weekend hours.
